Kitimat will be well-represented at B.C. Winter Games

The 13 athletes will compete in curling, figure skating, gymnastics and karate.

Kitimat’s young sporting stars will be representing the town at the B.C. Winter Games which will take place in Kamloops from Thursday to Sunday this week.

The 13 athletes will compete in curling, figure skating, gymnastics and karate.

A curling team coached by Dave Durrant will be attending - Ally Feduniak, Kate Durrant, Gemma Rigoni and Andrea Watt, accompanied by supervisor Cheryl Feduniak.

Snow Valley Skating club will be sending Christine Ferreira and Aliyah Goncalves, accompanied by Mikaela Carreiro.

Kitimat Dynamics Gymnastics Club will be sending Mya Anthony and Brooklyn Wojciechowski, accompanied by head coach Angela Pitzel.

The karate team that will compete consists of Kayla Abram, Keenan Gutierrez-Perreault, Alistair Pangan, Connor Purchase and Kemper Weightman.

They will be accompanied by team officials Alyssa Pangan, assistant coach Sage Benet, head coach Tanya Hickman and assistant coach Paul Silvestre.
