Kitimat tsunami advisory has ended

The advisory was issued at 5 a.m. today

A tsunami advisory that was issued for the north coast which included Kitimat has ended.

The advisory was issued after a volcano erupted Friday near the Tonga Islands.

Emergency Management B.C. first issued the alert around 5 a.m. today.
