Kitimat RCMP seek public assistance in investigating road rage-related assault

Kitimat RCMP is seeking public assistance for an investigation in to an assault resulting from road rage on Aug. 15.

The police said in a statement that at approximately 5:30 p.m. an alleged road rage incident resulted in one individual being assaulted.

“An officer of the Kitimat RCMP, on patrol, happened upon the incident that occurred near the intersection of Kuldo Blvd and Haisla Blvd in Kitimat,” said the police in a statement.

The RCMP said they are looking to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed this altercation. It is believed that one person may have stopped and assisted, however their identity is not known, the police said.

Anyone who saw the incident, has dash cam footage or were in the area between 5 :15 pm – 5:30 pm, is asked to contact the Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111. Should you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
