Kitimat RCMP investigating after drugs found near playground

On April 29, a male reported finding a small bag of drugs in the City Centre Park near 952 Wakashan Ave.

Kitimat RCMP are reminding the public to be drug aware following a small bag of drugs found near a playground.

On April 29, a male reported finding a small bag of drugs in the City Centre Park near 952 Wakashan Ave.

The drugs were left on the ground near the playground, the responsible party has not been identified and RCMP are increasing foot patrols in the area.

RCMP are asking that the public do their due diligence when taking children and animals to the parks. If your child ingests any unknown substance people are asked to call 911. If there are any substances located that stand out as strange or unusual it should be reported to the RCMP.
