A Kitimat man could be facing a number of charges in connection to a collision on Highway 37 earlier this week.

Mounties responded to a report of a collision along the highway, by the snowflake, at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct.7).

According to a news release, investigators believe a car was heading south towards Kitimat when it clipped a vehicle heading in the same direction, causing another vehicle headed towards Terrace to swerve.

The driver of the car was arrested for alleged impaired driving.

RCMP have recommended a number of dangerous driving charges to Crown.

Because charges have not been laid at this time, the man’s identity has not been detailed.
