Kitimat RCMP responded to a report of a person armed with a firearm on Raley Street the evening of September 9.
Staff Sergeant Phil Harrison explained that a combination of alcohol and a mental health disorder is what sparked the incident.
The individual was taken peacefully by the RCMP and brought to the hospital for treatment under the Mental Health Act.
