UPDATE: Hwy 37 reopened between Terrace and Kitimat

Hwy 37 was previously shut down due to a vehicle incident

UPDATE: British Columbia Emergency Health Services has said one person was taken to hospital as a result of the crash.

A vehicle incident has stopped traffic by Wedeene Mainline along Hwy 37.

Fire trucks from both Terrace and Kitimat are at the scene along with RCMP from Kitimat. The extent of the crash is not yet known.

According to DriveBC the road is closed, and an assessment is in progress.
