The Haisla Nation is looking for feedback on a Land Use Plan Draft.

Haisla members can read the Land Use Plan online and are then invited to give feedback on the draft. The Haisla Nation hopes to reach everyone with the intention of having them all learn about the territory and give their feedback.

The Land Use Plan is a document that shows how the reserves are to be used as well as protected. The Land Use Plan, once approved, will help support self-governance as well as fulfill Haisla teachings about working together.

There will also be a chance for members to attend a meeting of members regarding the plan, which will be hosted in person as well as virtually. The date for this meeting has yet to be set.

If you are interested in giving your feedback you can contact Brett Robinson who is the Lands Administrator. You can reach Robinson through email at BRobinson@haisla.ca or by phone at 250-639-9361 extension 142.
