More bone chilling temperatures are expected for some of the northwest as another arctic outflow warning has been issued by Environment Canada. Residents of Terrace and Kitimat will be battling freezing temperatures until at least Friday.

Temperatures are expected to drop to double digits below freezing once again, with strong winds arriving from B.C.’s interior. According to Environment Canada, temperatures will be below minus 10 with wind chills around or below minus 20.

Frostbite, as well as hypothermia, are both a threat for those braving the conditions and appropriate precautions such as dressing in layers and limiting time outside are recommended.
