Kitimat firefighters remain at the scene of a house fire on Kechika St. which at its height caused portions of the structure’s roof to collapse.
All three of the department’s firefighting vehicles left the hall when the call came in just before 11:30 this morning.
Also at the scene were RCMP officers and an ambulance.
The response by firefighters include pouring water through sections of the collapsed roof of the one and a half storey structure.
The house is right beside Kildala Elementary.
