Crews responded to fire on Nalabila Blvd. on Nov. 20

No injuries were reported; cause of fire under investigation

Kitimat’s fire department responded to a fire on Nalabila boulevard on Sunday (Nov. 20) evening.

The fire department received a call at 7: 57 p.m. about a fire in a vacant townhouse, said a spokespeson from the District of Kitimat.

A team of 12 firefighters and an engine were able to extinguish the fire quickly and the crews were on the scene for two hours.

The fire did not spread, there were no injuries, nor any structural damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
