Kitimat’s transit system will see a temporary reduction in service starting Aug. 14, owing to labour shortage.
In a statement issued by BC Transit this morning (Aug 9) it said a short-term reduced service schedule will be in effect to provide more stability for customers.
This adjusted service schedule means a temporary, minor reduction of service on the routes 1A, 1B, 2 and 3 on Fridays and Sundays.
This change will go into effect on Sunday, August 14 until further notice.
“The organization is working with our operating company, PW Transit, to rectify this issue and will resume full scheduled service as soon as possible,” said BC Transit in the statement, adding, “BC Transit appreciates the patience of customers during this time, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.”
