This year’s Auxiliary to the Kitimat General Hospital and Health Centre traditional June get-together was extra special - it was the Auxillary’s 60th Anniversary.

“The purposes of the Auxiliary to KGH are as relevant in 2018 as they were in 1958,” said Auxillary executive member Linda Ivin.

“Volunteer service in Mountainview Lodge continues to bring joy to the residents, and fundraising is ongoing to assist the Kitimat Hospital to purchase as many pieces of up-to-date equipment as possible to improve comfort and care for patients in all areas of the hospital.”

Established in 1958, the auxiliary’s purposes are to add to the comfort and care of patients in the Kitimat Hospital and residents in Mountainview Lodge (the multi-level care facility) and to fundraise and purchase needed equipment for the whole KGH facility.
