Ten Marlin Swim Club athletes competed in Prince George last weekend at the Medical Northern Sprint Meet.

The meet was hosted by the Prince George Barracudas and the Marlin Swim Club competed as part of the Points North organization of Northwest B.C. swim clubs, along with the Prince Rupert Aquatic Club, the Terrace Blueback Swim Club and the Bulkley Valley Otters Swim Club.

Also competing were the Waveriders Swim Club from Quesnel and the Williams Lake Bluefins Swim Club.

Despite there being no warm-down pool, Kitimat swimmers either beat or matched their best times in almost every race.

Jacob van Horne took an entire minute off of his best time to win gold in the 200 Individual Medley and Dallas Gray placed bronze in the same event, with a thirteen-second best time.

The next Marlins meet is in Kitimat this weekend, and the MSC looks forward to more personal bests and ultimately to winthe meet.
