PROGRESS 2023: Right turn lane added to Wakashan Ave. and Lahakas Blvd intersection

A right-hand turn lane is being added at the end of Wakashan Ave. at the Lahakas Blvd intersection near the Husky station.

Funds initially planned for the Alexander Ave walkway were shifted to projects like this one to fix much-needed roadways in Kitimat.

Coastal GasLink is also covering $150,000 of the upgrade.

Other repairs include the west lane on Lahakas Hill, Mountainview lane repair, Upper City Centre Mall parking lot and repairs near the Two Peaks Brewing Ltd. development on Wakashan Ave.
