Kitimat’s entrepreneurship-focused event, Entrepalooza, is scheduled to take place again this year on Oct. 19.

Entrepalooza 2023 aims to serve as a relaxed platform for local entrepreneurs and those eyeing a venture in the business realm. Attendees will have the chance to engage with resource providers, investors, and funding agencies. Additionally, the event offers the prospect of gleaning insights from Kitimat’s established business leaders.

“A diverse economy is a major pillar of council’s strategic plan,” Kitimat Mayor Phil Germuth said. “It’s not just about the big industry, but supporting our existing small businesses and attracting a new generation of business leaders. This event gives a place to foster a growing local business scene in Kitimat.”

The event is co-hosted by the District of Kitimat and the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce. It’s primary sponsor is LNG Canada, with additional support from the Kitimat Northern Sentinel.

Registration is free by visiting the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce website to secure a spot. All registrants are automatically entered into a lottery with a grand prize of $1,000, earmarked to assist in kick starting or growing a business venture in Kitimat.

Entrepalooza will take place at the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club, Oct. 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
