Ellis Ross appointed to Christy’s cabinet

Minister of Natural Gas Development and Minister Responsible for Housing

Ellis Ross is the new B.C. Minister of Natural Gas Development and Minister Responsible for Housing.

News of the Skeena B.C. Liberal Party’s appointment was released today following a swearing in ceremony at Government House.

Ross is Skeena’s first First Nations MLA, and Kitimat’s first MLA, and served the Haisla Nation as councillor from 2003, elected as Chief Councillor in 2011 and 2013.

In 2012, Ross was appointed by Premier Clark as the inaugural Chair of the Aboriginal Business and Investment Council.
