The mayor’s task force on housing has found some money for a feasibility study.
Mayor Joanne Monaghan said the task force had received word it would get two grants of $10,000 each and it has also received the okay to broaden the scope of that study.
Initially it has was going to zero in on seniors housing only.
Now it will also survey the need in the community for more assisted living units and units for the disabled.
Noting the task force only came together in November, Monaghan praised the team for all the hard work it had put in to get to this point.
