BC Hydro will be performing a planned power outage in Kitimat and Kitamaat Village between 11:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 and 6 a.m. Sept. 15.
The power will be turned off for about 6 1/2 hours so crews can safely perform upgrades at the Minette Substation. Residents are encouraged to turn off all appliances and electronics during the outage, especially portable electric heaters.
When power is restored, residents are asked to wait approximately one hour before turning multiple appliances back on, to allow the system time to stabilize.
