Liam wins an iPad for his fire safety sense

Kildala Elementary student Liam Lingenfelter’s entry into the 2017 Fire Prevention Officers’ Association of B.C.’s Fire Prevention Week contest won him first place and an iPad5. Students had to complete a workbook which involved coming up with an escape plan at their home in case a fire breaks out, including such activities as drawing a map of the home and location of doors, identifying a designated meeting place and learning emergency numbers.
