The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre is excited to welcome back Kelsey Kenny as Tourism Coordinator. In this role, Kelsey will be spearheading efforts to market Kitimat as a top destination for tourists, while also ensuring that visitors have access to all the information they need to fully experience the region.
Kelsey’s work will involve close collaboration with local community partners to develop events and activities that draw more people to Kitimat, showcasing the area's natural beauty and unique attractions. With a Diploma in Tourism Management and extensive knowledge of the local area, Kelsey is well-equipped to connect visitors with the best experiences Kitimat has to offer.
Before returning to the Chamber of Commerce, Kelsey honed her skills as an Office Manager at Cedar Ridge Builders, where she optimized operations and improved efficiency. She also served as a Communication Coordinator for Rio Tinto, where she played a key role in both internal and external communications.
In her personal time, Kelsey enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her dog Maverick, whether hiking the trails or paddling at Minette Bay. She’s also recently taken up golf, adding another adventure to her list of hobbies.
