he Kitimat Ice Demons moved one step closer to another CIHL playoff championship by out-skating and out-scoring the Western Division Williams Lake Stampeders, 7-4, in the opening game of the best-of-three Riot Tinto Cup CIHL playoffs at Tamitik Arena, Saturday night.

Oh baby!! Demons win the Western final

The Kitimat Ice Demons, already down one game in the CIHL West Division finals, went over Rainbow Summit to meet the Prince Rupert Rampage at the Jim Ciccione Sports Complex, where the home team was undefeated this season.
And came away with the pot of gold.

It took a late goal, with just 57 seconds left in the 2-2 tied second game of the CIHL West Division finals before the Kitimat Ice Demons were able to eliminate a much harder-working Terrace River Kings, 3-2. Saturday night at Tamitik Arena in Kitimat.

Demons triumph in first playoff game

The Kitimat Ice Demons took the brunt of penalties, but used a puck-control game and a hard fore check to earn two short-handed goals to beat the Terrace River Kings 5-3, Saturday, in the first game of the CIHL West Division quarter finals playoffs.
