Walter Keith Armour
May 20, 1929 - December 8, 2012
“To make a long story short,” (his favourite saying) Keith slipped away on Saturday, December 8 with his loving family by his bedside. Born in Carleton Place, Ontario on May 20, 1929, he was predeceased by his parents Walter and Winnefred, and brothers Willis and Weldon.
Keith will be forever remembered by his wife of 59 years, Ruby (neè Fillatre), children Cathy, Greg (Lorraine) and Joanne (Ron, sons Ryan and Daniel) Bennato and his grandchildren Lauren Daryl and Carla (great-grandchildren).
Keith was a Queen’s grad from 1952 and joined Alcan in Quebec. For over 32 years he worked for Alcan (Alma, Kitimat, Montreal, and Arvida) retiring to Vancouver Island in 1985.
A celebration of his life will be held in the spring at his home in Cobble Hill, BC.
