Rheo Philippe Levesque

September 23, 1937 to September 6, 2016

We would like to announce the passing of Rheo Levesque to his eternal rest with the Lord on September 6, 2016.

After much illness he is at peace and leaves behind his wife Loretta of 56 years, a daughter Elizabeth and a son Philippe and his children Stephen, Aaron, Jenna and Tori as well as great grand son Jace Lucas and a second on the way in November; five brothers, Fern (Liz), Oscar, Claude (Fran), Reg (Diane), Larry (Sharon), sister Jeanne, Claudette, Pauline (Pat), Claire (Husband), along with many nieces and nephews.

Rheo is predeceased by his parents Oscar Philippe Levesque and Mary Jeanne Levesque (Chicquen), sisters Jackie, Suzanne and Sandra.

Rheo was born in Mattawa, Ontario. He lived and worked in Ontario as a welder, truck driver and he also worked with horses. Ontario is where he met and married Loretta and raised their two children. In 1976, he and his family moved to BC and he started working for Alcan in 1977.

Rheo loved hockey, baseball, hunting, fishing and enjoyed the outdoors with camping with lots of friends.

Many of Rheo’s friends and extended family will miss him and his sense of humour.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems to be the same.

But as God calls us one by one,

the chain will be linked again.

The Levesque family would like to thank Dr. Skully and nursing staff at KGH for the care given to Rheo during his illness.

A memorial service will be held at Christ the King church on September 27, 2016 at 1:00pm. Refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society in Rheo’s name.
