In loving memory of my Mother

If you could answer one prayer, I would love it to be,
to give me my Mom one more day spent with me.
To do with her the things I now cannot do,
my life’s gone to pieces, and my Mom was the glue.
If only I knew, that would be her last day,
I would have stayed by her side ‘till her life passed away.
If you’d answer my prayer, I would give to my Mom,
one more kiss, one more hug, and “I love you” from her son.
She was my teacher, my protector, she was also my friend,
she was my Mother, I’m so thankful for her love to the end.
Life’s not been easy God, since she went to you last year,
all the times that I think of her, they just cause me to tear.
She was on loan to us I know, she was a gift from above,
now in death she has new life, thanks to Your Son, and Your love.
She is free of all pain, no more tears, no more fears,
thank you God for giving me her, and all those wonderful years.
For as much as I would love for this prayer to come true,
deep in my heart I believe, she is happier there with you.
Thanks for the promise and the hope found in you,
we’ll be together in eternity, it’s the truth we shared and both knew.
I miss her so much God, please tell her that for me.
