Frances Maitland passed away at Bulkley Valley Hospital in Smithers, BC, Monday, September 25, 2006
at the age of 86.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman Maitland and by her siblings, Mary Boychuk, and Peter and Joseph Bilski.
Born in Abee, Alberta, she had lived in Kitimat, BC for fourty years.
Left to mourn her passing are her children; Ken Maitland (Rosemary), Audrey Rice (Bill), Dale Maitland (Caroline), Gary Maitland (Megan), Roger Maitland (Carolyn Beeton); grandchildren Douglas Rice (Meredith), Dugan, Matthew, Florence, Caroline, John, Michael, Kevin and Jennifer; and great grandchildren Jaclyn, Steven, Rachel and Isabella.
A special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff of Bulkley Lodge and Bulkley Valley Hospital in Smithers.
Frances will be laid to rest next to her late husband, at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Edmonton, AB on October 2, 2006. A memorial service will be held in Kitimat at the First United Church on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
