In Loving Memory

Antonio Eugenio De Medeiros

July 2, 1929 - November 10, 2009

Antonio De Medeiros was born on July 2, 1929 in Achadinha, Acores.

He was the youngest of five brothers, and he had three sisters.

On July 17, 1959 he married his sweetheart Esperanca and three days later he emigrated to Canada, leaving behind his young wife.

Antonio began working in Vancouver for CNR, where he continued for three years. During that time, in 1963 while visiting his brothers in Kitimat, he made the decision to move to Kitimat to work for Alcan. Antonio worked at Alcan from 1963-1994.

In 1964 Esperanca came to Kitimat to join her husband. Later that year their first son, Tony, was born. Two sons, John and Dave followed.

Antonio was very proud of his family and his five grandchildren. He loved his gardening, hunting and fishing; and his drives to Alcan Beach, which will never be forgotten.

Antonio leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Esperanca, his sons Tony, John (Tammy) and Dave; his grandchildren Brittney, Jesslyn, Branden, Daniel and Hope; one brother and two sisters; nieces, nephews and many friends.
