Achim “Kim” Siepmann, 65, of Kitimat, British Columbia passed away August 7, 2017 in Vernon, British Columbia.

Kim was born May 11, 1952 in Dortmund, Germany and traveled to Canada with his mother and father Ilse and Gunter Siepmann.

He earned his degree in Forestry Engineering at UBC. This along with his industrious work ethic and resourcefulness lead him to found Siepmann Construction, where he discovered his true passion. His craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail made his work all over the northwest easily recognizable.

For one of Kim’s last projects he donated his skill and time to build the Kitimat Humane Society Shelter, a cause close to his heart.

His happiest days were spent on adventurous fishing and hunting trips with his brother, daughter and close friends.

Kim’s daughter Brandy is grateful that he instilled in her this adventurous nature and fearless ambition.

To honour Kim’s memory, in lieu of a celebration of life, those closest to him will be making a trip to Fin Island where some of his favourite memories were made.
