NOTICE OF INTENT
Kitimat Asphalt Mill and Fill Program 2024 Direct Award
The District of Kitimat provides “Notice of Intent” to direct award Asphalt Milling and Paving Services to Kentron Construction Ltd. for maintenance work on various municipal roads.
This direct award action is sought due to the single available contractor and history of continued single bids received on paving works.
Any responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Municipality, would not be cost or time prohibitive and would provide significant value added.
This is not a request for proposals. Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to the Engineering Department no later than 2:30 local time, 12 October 2023 by contacting, Robert Machial, Deputy Municipal Engineer at engineering@kitimat.ca only (phone calls regarding questions will not be accepted).
