KITIMAT - Over a hundred people attended the Kitimat General Hospital Foundation’s first Spring Benefit Dinner at the Rod and Gun Club last weekend.

Sandra Dugdale was the auctioneer for the evening, entertaining the guests while auctioning the numerous items donated to the foundation for the auction.

The foundation’s goal is to raise $90,000 in 2017. Half the money raised will be for surgical equipment in the operating room and the other half towards a dementia and Alzheimer’s care facility in Kitimat.

“We very pleased with the turnout and the support received by the wonderful people in attendance, as excellent healthcare in Kitimat is a benefit to everyone in the community,” said Kitimat General Hospital Foundation president Michelle Wakita.
