February is now also Toastmasters Month in Kitimat after having been entered into the town’s Registry of Observances.
Mayor Phil Germuth signed the proclamation last week during a visit by Nechako Toastmasters members.
“On behalf of Mayor and Council, I extend thanks to the local chapter of Toastmasters and thank them for the great work they are doing to help people build their confidence in communication,” said Germuth during the signing.
Toastmasters Month is observed internationally to recognize and support the work of Toastmasters International.
