Kitimat Red Hat ladies were feelin’ groovy

Syd Darosa and Betty Jankauskas.

KITIMAT – About 47 ladies attended our Feeling Groovy event from Prince George, Smithers, Fraser Lake, Terrace and Calgary.

The Snowflake Hattitudes is the name of our group in Kitimat and we get together for brunch the first Sunday of every month as well as attending one other event a month which could be at someone’s house, going out for dinner, theatre, or whatever we come up with in order to have fun.

These bigger events where we get together with ladies from across northern BC happen on average once a year and we take turns hosting the event.

I hear a rumour that next year’s is in Smithers!

Some of us travel to international events and eight of our Kitimat ladies are attending a convention in Ottawa the end of August.

We get together to have fun.

That’s what it is all about, we enjoy dressing to the nines, being goofy, and having fun!

If you are 50 you can become a red hatter, but if you are under 50 you can wear pink.

Everyone who attended had nothing but nice things to say about Kitimat and the awesome hospitality that they received here.
